The Girl on the Train – My Thoughts

It’s not like a review or a critique or something. I have read the novel and I just want to share with you guys what I feel about it, so that you have an idea before buying it, or may be you’ll develop the urge to buy it.

“Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. “Jess and Jason,” she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel offers what she knows to the police, and becomes inextricably entwined in what happens next, as well as in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good?”

Thrilling, I must say. It revealed bits and pieces here and there, and created frustration till I could take no more. It merely took me three to four days to finish because it was so hard to put down, not knowing what happened and what was gonna happen. This novel was one of the best I read. It’s surprising plots and plot twists had me up all night.

It’s definitely a recommendation. Very thrilling, fun, and intriguing plus satisfying novel.

Yeah, but there were parts that weren’t “emotionally” described well for me, but then the whole novel was “told” not “shown”, so I guess it was good the way it was.

Perfectly scary novel, I’ll say.

I loved it. I felt it.

Hope, you do too!
